For artist Dan Dowd, taking one thing and turning it into something very different comes naturally. From his sculptures to his home, this is evident in his creative and resourceful way of repurposing things. Once a dated, drab house in the woods along the coast of Maine, it has been turned into a modern oasis of design, function, and color. Dan's sense of being resourceful came into major play when renovating the home, where he repurposed materials like roofing for siding, metal sheeting for flooring, and many other unique elements that make his home one of a kind.
